Part-Time Educator PreK–12

Longwood Gardens is seeking part-time Educators PreK–12, to lead curriculum-based programs with school groups, Scout groups, and youth groups in our garden setting, rain or shine. Educators also participate in other School and Youth programs including teen workshops, outreach events, teen volunteers, and intergenerational learning. 

The ideal candidate will have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in education with two or more years of experience teaching PreK–12 children. 
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work with all age levels.
• Flexibility to work 2-4 hour shifts on weekdays or weekends, as assigned.
• A passion for nature and plants is a plus.
• Walking long distances with program materials is required.
• Our team of educators engage diverse groups of students year-round. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. 
• Completing Act 153 clearances and drug test.
