MALT is an Addison County non-profit. We are a small, local land trust with over 30 years of conservation success. Over time, MALT has created and protected unparalleled access to recreation opportunities on over 3,500 acres of conserved lands. We provide nature education and connection to nearly 300 annual youth program participants and an estimated 10,000 unique users of our 30-mile trail network. The Nature Camp Educator will be an integral member of MALT’s small and dedicated teaching team.

The Nature Camp Educator will be an integral member of MALT’s small and dedicated teaching team.

The Nature Camp Educator will be an integral member of MALT’s small and dedicated teaching team. They will:

 Serve as MALT’s boots on the ground, passionately connecting youth with MALT’s lands and trails;

 Design, prepare, and lead 8 weeks of nature-based, outdoor, environmentally-themed summer day camps;

 Collaborate with MALT’s passionate, experienced, creative, and sometimes muddy team of seven educators to provide safe, connecting, explorative, and nature-based days in the forest and at the creek;

 Teach children ages 4 to 12 in an outdoor setting;

 Manage risk in the outdoors, including teaching youth about safe risks and opportunities to be physically, mentally, and spiritually challenged and inspired in the outdoors;

 Act as part of the teaching team, answering phone/email inquiries, maintaining clean, safe, and quality education program materials, and assisting in any administrative functions that support MALT’s summer camps;

 Work at a local, community-oriented organization;

 Collect, create, and share content for bi-monthly e-news, website, and social media.
