Conservation Corps Director

El Ranchito’s mission is to connect children with the natural world by providing an extraordinarily fun and inspiring nature immersion camping experience. Conservation Corps is an overnight camp for 10th-12th graders focusing on nature immersion, community building, leadership development, and job training. Campers are called Corps Members and learn valuable job skills while earning a stipend for their work.

Conservation Corps (CC) Director responsibilities include:
o Lead recruitment, hiring and supervision of CC staff 
o Support recruitment and registration of CC campers 
o Increase outreach to recruit campers for expanded camp sessions
o Assist in planning and scheduling the overall CC nature immersion camp program, work projects, and activities 
o Manage day to day CC program operation during residential camp sessions including implementation of daily schedules and coordinating with leadership and support staff 
o Facilitate CC staff meetings, schedule refresh time, manage staff engagement and conflict resolution o Assist in developing staff training schedule and facilitate/co-facilitate staff training elements 
o Manage transitions between camp sessions including pick-up, drop-off, evaluations, and family picnics
