Summary
We are looking to hire a trip leader to lead 1-2 night camping trips during our 2022 summer season. Trip leaders should have experience camping. Wilderness First Responder and Lifeguard certifications will be provided if you do not already have the certification.
Chippewa Ranch Camp is an all girls residential summer camp located in Eagle River, Wisconsin. We are a traditional overnight camp that has been around for 75 years. We are located on a big lake and offer a wide variety of activities including horseback riding, waterskiing, a 50 foot climbing wall with a zipline, a high ropes course, archery, landsports and the arts. We are a camp that is focused on building friendships, independence and kindness. Through our wide offering of activities and incredible staff, we are able to help our campers grow into strong, confident and compassionate young women.
At Chippewa, we run a trip program in which a trip leader will take between 12 and 20 campers (with 3 other counselors) on a one to two night camping trip. These trips range from beaches to hiking to canoeing to sea-kayaking to rock climbing. Campers and counselors will make dinner, set-up and sleep in tents, and build a fire. The trip leader will be accountable for helping to plan the trip, guide the campers and counselors once they are on the trip, and help to ensure a fun and safe experience.
There will be 2 trip leaders who will work together to plan trips.
COMPENSATION: Compensation is competitive and dependent on experience. Room, board, certification and travel expenses are all included.
