Field Educator

Sierra Nevada Journeys is seeking a part-time Field Educator to help lead elementary outdoor science field studies in Sacramento, California.

Lead trail groups of 10 to 15 students through a variety of field-based science activities at local nature sites while covering subjects including environmental, earth, and life sciences through our Classrooms Unleashed program. Availability will be at least three days a week, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesdays through Fridays are preferred.$15-17 per hour, plus mileage. 

Also, you will help run Family STEM Nights  by organizing supplies, facilitating operations, and working with a team of staff and volunteers to engage families in hands-on STEM activities at local elementary schools. These events happening weekdays between 4 and 7:30 p.m.
