UF/IFAS Florida 4-H is excited to start their AmeriCorps Environmental Education Program at its three 4-H camps for this year. We are looking for a Program Director to oversee the AmeriCorps grant and help develop a sustainability plan for the program, both financially and non-financially. This position will also help in environmental education curriculum development and implementation. Summary

UF/IFAS Florida 4-H camps are excited to start up their AmeriCorps Environmental Education Programs, and we are looking for a Program Director to oversee the management of it. Please see the below specifics that this position would include.

Grant and Program Management: Develop and maintain sound fiscal and organizational management systems and practices. Define and revise a Theory of Change for how the program activities will lead to long term results and gather, analyze, and report on data to make improvements to the program. Partner with on-site camp directors to ensure proper training and supervision of sites. Work with the community to identify environmental education needs and help provide those services. Assist in environmental education program creation and delivery.

Member Management: Recruit, enroll, train, and retain AmeriCorps member positions using appropriate human resource and inclusion practices. Develop and conduct a comprehensive member training plan that provides the skills and necessary training for their service activities.

Fiscal Oversight: Actively participate in managing the budget for the AmeriCorps grant and work cooperatively with UF/IFAS financial and leadership staff to manage program funds and documentation of finances. Assist in developing a sustainability plan for the program, both financially and non-financially.

Leadership Development: Plan and participate in training opportunities that promote personal and professional growth. Help cultivate leaders within AmeriCorps and national service and support Volunteer Florida in promoting AmeriCorps.

Perform other duties as assigned by the State 4-H Headquarters.

Compensation Information

Salary is $36,000-$45,000, commensurate with experience. Additionally, this position is a TEAMS-exempt position with the University of Florida and provides great benefits. For specific information on benefits, please visit our benefits page.
