Outdoor Educator

Ready Set Go Outside is looking for a passionate outdoors person to help with our preschool, homeschool, and after-school programs. This could be a part-time or full-time position.

Candidates should be comfortable playing outside with children in all weather, all year. We offer play-based preschool programs and school-age programs. The hired teacher for this position must be 21 years or older, have a clean driving record, have experience working with children, acquire CPR/first aid certification, acquire DHHS fingerprinting, and attend 30 hours of training annually.

We are currently a child care center licensed for 20 children up to age 12 and therefore must have up-to-date immunizations. We have a small building as well as a wilderness site within walking distance on 80 acres of land. We spend our days playing and learning at our wilderness site. The current position involves leading lessons, driving children on field trips, daily operations which may include small animals, opening and closing the facility, communicating with parents, and light maintenance.

Compensation starts at $15/hour for those with little experience and training and up to $18/hour for more experienced candidates. Position is 25 to 40 hours a week. 8–5 PM on Fridays availability is a must.
