Summary
Do you love teaching young children and have a passion for nature? Are you creative, energetic, engaging and genuinely interested in connecting young children to the natural world? PUDDLESTOMPERS Nature Exploration is looking for an outstanding candidates to teach nature programs to children ages 2–9 in the Greater Boston area.
Responsibilities:
Lead children and parents in a 1-hour birthday party program. The program includes a nature-themed lesson, hands-on investigation, outdoor exploration, active movement or games, and a craft. This is a part-time weekend position that requires a 1 1/2 - 2 hour commitment per birthday party. Parties are held at our Nature Center in Newton or at family homes in the Greater Boston area.
Qualifications:
- Prior teaching experience with 2-8 year olds
- Experience in outdoor education and/or degree in the natural sciences a plus
- Dependable, responsible, and organized
- Fun-loving, creative, and engaging
- Reliable transportation is a must
