As a naturalist you will lead a group of 12-18 5th or 6th grade students on interactive learning hikes through the redwood forest. You get the opportunity to teach them a majority of their science standards for the school year. You will also get to participate in campfire and barn dance with the students. Come live among the redwoods in the Santa Cruz Mountains!
Summary
The Naturalist team of MSOE is comprised of recent college graduates who are passionate about educating 5th and 6th-grade students about the natural world.
As one of our team of thirteen naturalists, you will teach public and private middle school classes about ecology, environmental stewardship, and creation care. Naturalists are provided housing in a Christian community in the redwoods, as well as most meals and a weekly wage.
