The Salt Watch Coordinator manages and supports the League’s national Salt Watch monitoring program. The role focuses on recruiting and retaining volunteers and partners, coordinating the creation and distribution of monitoring kits, supporting volunteer data collection and reporting, and using ArcGIS to analyze water quality trends. The Coordinator also develops advocacy resources and communications materials and works closely with IWLA’s communications team to share Salt Watch findings to raise awareness and encourage smarter road-salt practices.

Summary

Working under the direction of the Clean Water Program Director, the Salt Watch Coordinator will coordinate the League’s Salt Watch monitoring program. Coordinating this program includes volunteer and partner recruitment and retention, test kit creation and distribution, and developing advocacy materials to engage volunteers in collaboration with local partners to facilitate smarter salting in local communities.

Compensation Information

Salary: $46,000 to $50,000 annually and commensurate with experience and qualifications. The position also includes a package of employee and health benefits.
