Summary

Fidalgo Nature School is seeking an Outdoor Preschool Director for our non-profit, outdoor, nature-based preschool serving children ages 3 through 6 in Deception Pass State Park. This is a part-time, hybrid position (mostly remote with periodic site visits to our preschool site in Deception Pass State Park, and to events within Island & Skagit Counties). Position is 20 hours per week, year round, with an hourly rate of $35.

The Outdoor Preschool Director serves as the chief administrator, providing leadership and implementing policies and programs to carry out the work of our organization. The Outdoor Preschool Director serves as a non-voting member of our Board of Directors and all board committees, and attends all board meetings.

Compensation Information

Compensation & Benefits:

$35 per hour, 20 hours / week
Paid time off: Accrues at a rate of 1 hour for every 40 worked, starting with a balance of 8 hours (up to 40 hours rolls over year to year)
Paid Holidays: 8 assigned holidays, plus 4 floating holidays (4 hrs. each) during the year
$150 gear stipend
