Summary

The University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR) is excited to announce the job opening for a Science Education Program Specialist II. The UCAR Center for Science Education (UCAR SciEd) connects students, educators, and the public with cutting-edge Earth system science at UCAR, the National Science Foundation National Center for Atmospheric Research (NSF NCAR), and UCAR member universities. As a Program Specialist II, you'll play a central role in bringing that mission to life — coordinating programs, events, and workshops; developing and disseminating educational resources; and supporting science exhibits and public programming at the NSF NCAR Mesa Lab.

We're looking for someone with strong project coordination skills, excellent writing and communication abilities, and a collaborative, organized approach to supporting science education work.

Compensation Information

This is a hybrid role based in Boulder, CO (3 days in-person), paying $34.65 to $43.32/hr. It's a term position through September 30, 2026, with the possibility of extension based on funding and performance.
