BOPN is seeking a collaborative and organized Site Director to lead one of our nature-based preschool sites. This role oversees daily program operations, supervises teaching staff, ensures EEC compliance, supports families, and helps maintain a warm, high-quality learning environment rooted in play and outdoor exploration.
Summary
What You’ll Do
- Lead and supervise a team of educators, providing coaching, accountability, and ongoing support
- Ensure high-quality, child-led, nature-based programming aligned with BOPN’s philosophy
- Maintain EEC compliance and licensing readiness at all times
- Serve as the primary point of contact for families and site partners
- Support daily program operations, staffing coordination, safety procedures, and site logistics
- Mentor teachers through observations, feedback, and professional development
- Help cultivate a collaborative, positive, and growth-oriented school community
Qualifications
- EEC Director I or II Certification required
- Experience managing early childhood programs and supervising staff
- Strong knowledge of child development and EEC regulations
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Experience with nature-based, outdoor, or experiential education preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and navigate uneven terrain
Schedule & Compensation
- 25–30 hours per week
Compensation Information
This is a salaried position with compensation equivalent to $29–$31/hour, based on experience and qualifications. BOPN also offers generous paid vacation time and school breaks that closely align with the public school calendar.
