We are seeking passionate and experienced Lead Science Mentors to join our (TK – 6th Grade) Summer Camp! This role is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about science education and excited to make STEM engaging, accessible, and meaningful for young learners.

Summary

As a Science Mentor, you will be responsible for faciliating science activites and adapting to your students interests to guide interactive student driven research projects that they will present at the end of the week. While our mission is educational this is still a camp, so a great fit will be willing to teach and learn through play and create an environment where students actively explore concepts through experimentation, collaboration, and creative problem-solving.

Qualifications:

  • Availability for all 5 days & and all 6 weeks of training / camp is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience working with elementary-aged students in educational, enrichment, or youth development settings
  • Experience developing, writing, or adapting curriculum
  • Prior classroom teaching or instructional experience preferred
  • Ability to successfully complete TB testing and fingerprinting/background check prior to employment
  • Strong alignment with our mission to foster curiosity through science
  • Energetic, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset
  • Strong practical problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Self-motivated with the discipline to set goals, manage responsibilities independently, and follow through consistently
  • Current CPR certification and Basic First Aid training
  • Graduate-level coursework in a science is preferred; candidates with a bachelor’s degree and hands-on research experience are strongly encouraged to apply
