Summary

Science Zone AmeriCorps Member

The Science Zone AmeriCorps Program engages passionate individuals in expanding access to science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) education throughout Central Wyoming. Members serve at host sites and community organizations, delivering educational programs, supporting youth development, facilitating hands-on learning experiences, and helping build community partnerships that inspire curiosity and lifelong learning.

AmeriCorps members may assist with educational programming, after-school activities, outreach events, volunteer engagement, and the development of resources that increase access to quality STEAM experiences. Members gain valuable professional experience in education, nonprofit operations, public service, and community engagement while making a meaningful impact in the lives of youth and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver STEAM-focused educational activities and programs.
  • Support youth engagement and positive developmental experiences.
  • Assist with community outreach and special events.
  • Collaborate with host site staff and community partners.
  • Complete required AmeriCorps service activities, training, and reporting.

Compensation Information

This is an AmeriCorps program with various terms of service and positions available. The breakdown is as follows:
