Summary
Maine Audubon is hiring a Seasonal Environmental Educator to join its dynamic team based in Holden, ME (greater Bangor area).
Since 1843, Maine Audubon has worked to conserve Maine wildlife and wildlife habitat by engaging people in education, conservation, and action. The Fields Pond Audubon Center has hosted a nature center and store, school programs, nature tours, community science, interpretation, and other environmental education and community engagement programs in the greater Bangor area for more than 25 years.
This position will assist with the development and delivery of community and school-age environmental education programs, with a major emphasis on facilitating summer camp serving children in grades 1-5. These programs are designed to instill fascination, understanding, and responsibility for the natural world and focus on natural history, sustainability, and human impacts. Candidates should have experience and strong skills with elementary-age students; group management; Maine’s natural history; program development and delivery. This position may also assist with other sanctuary projects as time allows.

Compensation Information
