Summary
Hartley Nature Preschool is hiring lead and assistant preschool teachers to join our team of preschool staff fulfilling the preschool’s mission of inspiring life-long connections with nature through education, play, and exploration while supporting the whole child’s development. Hartley Nature Preschool is a program of Hartley Nature Center, a non-profit environmental learning center located within the 600+ acre Hartley Park in Duluth, Minnesota.
Full- and part-time nature preschool teacher positions are available for lead teacher and assistant teacher candidates. You do not have to be a licensed teacher or have a degree in education to be a preschool lead teacher or assistant teacher in a child care center in Minnesota.

Compensation Information
2026-27 Starting Hourly Wage:
- Lead Teacher: $19.03/hour
- Assistant Teacher: $18.21/hour

- Additional hours may be available throughout the school year and summer working with our environmental education programs.
