Let’s Grow Outside NH is a network of Reggio-inspired forest schools in Southern New Hampshire where children spend much of their day playing, exploring, and learning outdoors. Our educators design thoughtful environments, follow children’s curiosity, and document the learning that emerges through play. We are currently hiring for four positions across our three schools—from assistant teaching roles to school leadership. If you are passionate about nature-based education, reflective teaching, and supporting children’s exploration, we invite you to explore our open positions.

Summary

Lead and manage our farm-based forest school located at Joppa Hill Educational Farm. Responsibilities include guiding the educational program, supporting children’s play-based learning, communicating with families, and ensuring licensing compliance.
Requirements: Must be Director-qualified under NH CCLU requirements or willing to become qualified, have experience in early childhood and outdoor education, and be comfortable spending significant time outdoors.

Lead Teacher – The Amherst Preschool (Amherst, NH)
Part-Time | 25 hours/week | $23–$28/hour
Guide a classroom of 16 children ages 3–5 in our Reggio-inspired forest preschool. Responsibilities include preparing daily provocations, documenting children’s learning, communicating with families, and supporting play-based outdoor exploration.
Requirements: Must qualify as a Lead Teacher under NH CCLU licensing requirements, have early childhood experience, and be familiar with the Reggio Emilia approach.

Associate Teacher – The Amherst Preschool (Amherst, NH)
Full-Time | $23–$28/hour
Support the Lead Teacher in our full-day program for working families. Responsibilities include preparing the classroom environment, observing and documenting learning, maintaining licensing standards, and supervising daily outdoor play.
Requirements: Must qualify as an Associate Teacher under NH CCLU requirements, have 3–5 years of early childhood or outdoor education experience, and be comfortable outdoors year-round.

Associate Teacher – Ponemah Forest School (Milford, NH)
Part-Time | New School Opening
Support preschool and kindergarten classrooms at our new forest school located on the Hampshire Hills campus. Responsibilities include assisting lead teachers, preparing materials for play-based learning, documenting children’s exploration, and supporting outdoor activities.
Requirements: Must qualify as an Associate Teacher under NH CCLU requirements and be comfortable working outdoors in all seasons.

Compensation Information

$23-$28/hour depending on experience
