Summary
Key Responsibilities
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with, and under the direction of, the Executive Director to ensure Hidden Villa’s programs are aligned with Hidden Villa’s Vision/Mission/Values
- Work collaboratively with other leadership staff to articulate, evolve and support Hidden Villa’s Strategic Plan
- Participate in the development and iteration of Hidden Villa’s Theory of Change
- Proactively identify dependencies, manage risks, develop solutions and effectively communicate with stakeholders and leadership
- Engage in professional networks with other Farm and Wilderness based education leaders
PROGRAM SUPPORT
Operations & Implementation:
- Provide operational and strategic direction for Summer Camp, Environmental Education, Community Programs and Rentals Program
- Oversee the development and implementation of age-appropriate, integrative curricula that clearly builds towards Hidden Villa’s Vision, Mission, and target impacts
- Ensure that consistent pedagogy and best practices for teaching and are incorporated into all education program offerings
- Lead Cross-Program Department Collaboration (resource sharing, cross-training, initiatives, special projects) that bring Hidden Villa’s wide range of education assets into our program offerings
- Evaluate and identify opportunities to increase equitable access to programs, develop culturally relevant programming and enhance equity through internal policies and practices
- Drive evaluation efforts in all program departments to understand and communicate impact
- Advocate for and enhance the visitor experience
Strategic Planning:
- Establish and implement short and long-term program goals and objectives in collaboration with Program Managers
- Build and evaluate authentic program partnerships that strategically leverage Hidden Villa’s resources to make a greater impact than can be accomplished independently
- Identify market challenges and opportunities to create mission-aligned programs that evolve with the changing needs of the target populations served
- Make recommendations about both existing and potential new programs in alignment with the organization’s Theory of Change and Education Program logic model(s), when these are completed
- Identify and share opportunities for program underwriting and/or investment from contributed (donated) sources
Administration:
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, and professional development of all year-round program staff
- Oversee the design of risk mitigation policies and procedures for program spaces and operations in collaboration with Property, Agriculture and Programs Teams
- Oversee the development of Program budgets, work plans, and reporting
- Ensure alignment of annual work plans with strategic plans and planning
- Track earned revenue generation from programs and ensure that targets are being met; proactively adjust work plans and program offerings when necessary
- Ensure that technology supports organization and program needs
- Work with the Communications Manager to coordinate the alignment of messaging, marketing, and scheduling of program communications
- Work with program managers to collect data and collateral for reports, donor appeals, and publications etc.

Candidate Qualifications
- 5+ or more years of program experience in youth development, environmental education, camp or similar organization.
- 5+ years of supervisory and management experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Demonstrated skill and experience with Project Management
- Experience with Strategic Planning
- Experience researching, designing, and implementing equity and access initiatives and projects
- Demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging
- Ability to exercise judgment in a position of responsibility and to work with or without supervision.
- Ability to act with sincerity, diplomacy, and tact when working with the public and Hidden Villa supporters.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends as needed.
- Highly organized and capable of creating effective, efficient systems.
- Excellent customer service, communications, writing and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace programs and overall proficiency with technology including database management.
- Valid California driver’s license, clean driving record.
- Physical requirements: Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds; occasionally walking and hiking up to 5 miles; must be able to assist with ropes/challenge course and be willing to complete ropes course certification.

Compensation Information
This position is a full-time, exempt position. The salary range for this position is $110k-$125k, and we aim to hire this position between $115k-$120k. This position is full time and will be required to be onsite at least 3 days per week minimum in Los Altos Hills. Workdays are Monday through Friday, occasional weekend or evening work will be required to support organization/board events. This position is fully benefitted, including paid time off, health insurance and retirement. Because Hidden Villa is a youth-serving organization, all applicants will be required to complete a background check and Live Scan fingerprinting before hire. Due to the nature of Hidden Villa’s operations, work hours may vary.
