Chesapeake Conservation and Climate Corps Member

The Chesapeake Bay Trust is excited to announce that the application for the 2026-27 Chesapeake Conservation and Climate Corps (Corps) Member opportunity is open with a deadline of March 6th, 2026 at 4pm EST!

For the 2026-2027 program, the Trust anticipates placing ~80 Corps Members (ages 18-25) with nonprofit organizations and government agencies across the state of Maryland for a one-year term of stipend-supported service ($33,280) beginning on August 18th, 2026. As a Corps Member you’ll have the opportunity to gain real-world environmental experience, professional and leadership development training, mentorship, networking opportunities, and support from a strong cohort of peers.

This year we have 120+ potential Host Organizations interested in engaging a Corps Member that provide a wide range of experiences in the fields of climate change, environmental restoration, environmental education, forestry, sustainable agriculture, energy conservation, and community engagement. The deadline to apply is 4pm on March 6th so please make sure to submit your application through our online portal early.
