ELSO, Inc. is seeking a dynamic Seasonal Site Manager for Wayfinders Summer Camp in Portland, OR, where you’ll lead outdoor adventures, support a diverse team, and foster growth in STEAMED fields—all while championing cultural pride, community care, and environmental justice. Step into a summer of purpose, joy, and community building with ELSO, Inc. We’re calling in a Seasonal Site Manager to help us bring Wayfinders Summer Camp to life — a place where Black and Brown youth deepen their connection to nature, explore STEAMED (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math, Environment, Design) pathways, and grow as leaders rooted in their brilliance.

What You’ll Do

You’ll help shape the heartbeat of camp — guiding young people through unforgettable adventures, supporting Camp Guides and interns, coordinating meaningful field trips, and creating learning moments that honor culture, curiosity, and nature. Your leadership will help make camp feel safe, joyful, grounded, and full of discovery.

What You Bring

  • A passion for working with youth — especially Black and Brown youth — in culturally responsive ways
  • 5+ years of teaching or youth program experience
  • Strong communication, team support, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to travel locally and meet background-check requirements
  • You’ve led curriculum, worked in STEAMED spaces, supported diverse families, or feel at home outdoors. Preferred
  • Experience driving a camp van. Preferred
