Summary
The Zoo Camp Instructor is a seasonal position responsible for prepping and teaching day camp programs for children ages 4-17.
The Zoo Camp Assistant is a seasonal position that will primarily be responsible for helping the Zoo Camp Coordinator with the implementation of Zoo Camp programs and stepping in for camp instructors as needed.
The Zoo Camp Inclusion Specialist is a seasonal position that will primarily be responsible for helping the Zoo Camp Coordinator with the equal inclusion of all campers participating in our Zoo Camp programs.
Summer camp groups are divided by age into 4-5 year olds, 6-7 year olds, 8-10 year olds, 11-13 year olds and 14-17 year olds. Spring and (optional) fall break camps are a single group ages 6-10 years. 2026 camps occur March 9-13 (Spring Break), May 20 – July 29 (Summer Camp) and October 5-9 (Fall Break). Training days include working one day of spring break camp (March 9-13) and three training dates on May 2nd, May 9th, and May 23rd. Programming will strive to achieve the Education Department’s vision to create conservation leaders by creating opportunities for learning to inspire and empower community action for wildlife and wild places.
