Temple Shalom of Dallas is planting the seeds for a new, play-based, nature-focused Early Childhood Center opening in 2026. We’re seeking a visionary Founding Director to design and lead a program that enables children to learn through wonder, exploration, and connection to the natural world. Rooted in values of community, curiosity, and care for the earth, this new school will blend joyful learning with outdoor discovery in our thriving congregational garden.

Summary

The Director will lead every facet of the program’s creation, licensing, staffing, curriculum design, budgeting, marketing, and community engagement, and will shape its educational philosophy and daily practices. 

Ideal candidates bring at least five years of early childhood leadership experience, deep knowledge of nature- and play-based approaches to early childhood education, and the ability to inspire and mentor educators and families.

This full-time position begins January 2026, allowing ample time to prepare for a strong opening in August 2026.

Compensation Information

Salary range $85,000 – $100,000 with medical and pension benefits.
