Summary
Description:
The Stengl-Wyer Postdoctoral Scholars Program at the University of Texas at Austin (UT) is now accepting applications for our 2026 cohort.
The Stengl-Wyer Scholars Program is seeking talented postdoctoral researchers in the broad area of biodiversity and/or organisms in their natural environments. Applicants must propose their own independent research, and may study any group of organisms at levels from genes to populations to communities to ecosystems, using any combination of approaches. Research proposals that incorporate the Texas Field Station Network or the UT Biodiversity Collections are highly encouraged, given the Stengl-Wyer Endowment’s mission. Learn more about the gift here: https://giving.utexas.edu/in-the-pines/.
Scholars receive up to 3 years of support – an annual salary of $70,000 plus benefits; an annual research and travel allowance of $10,000; and up to $3,000 in relocation expenses. Scholars are required to participate in monthly cohort activities and community engagement work, and are encouraged to serve as mentors and collaborate with other faculty, postdocs, and graduate students at UT. Applicants of all backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
