Summary

Clearwater Marine Aquarium is seeking a passionate and energetic Educational Camp Instructor to lead our immersive summer camp programs. This role involves guiding children (ages 5-18) through engaging activities such as snorkeling, kayaking, and hands-on animal interactions while ensuring a safe and educational environment. Instructors will develop and implement lesson plans, lead aquarium tours, and serve as mentors to college-age interns. Strong communication skills, flexibility, and enthusiasm for marine life and conservation are essential for success in this role.

Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in science, education, or a related field, along with experience working with children in an educational or camp setting. A valid Florida driver’s license, CPR/First Aid certification, and the ability to work in various outdoor conditions are required.

Compensation Information

This position offers a pay rate of $13.00 per hour. Additional benefits include hands-on experience in marine education and professional development in environmental education. Educational Camp Instructors will also have the chance to network within Clearwater Marine Aquarium and with other marine science and conservation professionals through interactions and field trips. This role provides valuable leadership experience while making a meaningful impact on young minds and ocean conservation efforts.
