Position Overview
We are seeking seasonal On-call Environmental Educators based out of Gilsland Farm Audubon Center in Falmouth, Maine, with some outreach programming in the greater Portland area. On-call Environmental Educators are responsible for delivering science-based, experiential education programs for children ages 3-11. Hours vary from intermittent field trips and classroom visits to fulltime work during school vacation camps; our on-call educators select the work opportunities that fit their availability. Our programs are designed to foster environmental literacy and build connection to the natural world in a fun, safe, and welcoming environment.
Timing
February-June, with potential for summer seasonal employment to follow. Hours and demand will vary weekly based on programs that are scheduled. We encourage all qualified candidates to apply and to include details about availability in their cover letters.
To apply: Please send resume and cover letter to camps@maineaudubon.org, with “On-call Environmental Educator” in the subject line. Review of applications will begin January 6, 2025, and will continue until the position is filled.
