Youth Engagement Manager

Eligibility
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen who currently resides in one of the 50 U.S. States or Washington, D.C. (At this time, Folia Technologies does not provide sponsorship for visas such as H-1B.) 
  • Must be between the ages of 18 and 30 by September 1, 2024.
  • Current high school student OR current undergraduate/graduate student at an accredited 2 or 4-year institution.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a degree in education, social work, communications, public relations, or a related field OR have experience in youth development, community outreach, and/or organizational leadership.
  • Experience engaging with youth in roles such as mentorship, tutoring, coaching, or camp counseling is desirable.
  • Elementary understanding of environmental stewardship and STEM concepts.
  • Possess a creative and enthusiastic personality with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Work with the Deputy Director to organize monthly community-building webinars and workshops. These may include hosting guest speakers, inviting experts for panel discussions, organizing professional development seminars, and co-hosting community events with global youth ambassadors.
  • Lead the Global Youth Ambassadors Program, President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) tracking, and Young Researchers' service hour tracking.
  • Review volunteer Young Researchers applications, determine eligibility, and facilitate the onboarding process.
  • Serve as a point of contact for all inquiries regarding volunteer service hour tracking and regularly administer volunteer service hour certificates.
  • Serve as a point of contact for Global Youth Ambassadors, addressing inquiries and providing support related to service hour tracking and other program activities.

Compensation Information

Location: Fully Remote

Start Date: October 4, 2024 

Time commitment: Selected applicant is expected to work remotely and mostly asynchronously from Monday to Friday, for approximately 10 hours each week. This position is great for youth who hope to maintain other commitments, such as being a full-time or part-time student.

Pay: $15 per hour
