Trailblazers School of North Georgia is a nature-based hybrid school in Buford, Georgia serving grades PreK-6th. We are seeking Kindergarten/1st Grade educators for the 24/25 academic school year to work during our regular school week Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Our lead educators will work closely with our environmental educators and curriculum team to create a safe, happy, joyful learning environment for our students.

Summary

Qualifications:

Experience working with children in a variety of capacities (e.g. small groups, one-on-one, multiage groups)

Experience creating curriculum that is differentiated, accessible, and interdisciplinary

Experience building communities with children and/or educators where differences are valued and diverse perspectives and sensitives are welcome

Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions

Preferred qualifications:

Experience partnering with children in shared inquiries

Experience with innovative and inclusive educational methods (e.g., Culturally Relevant and Sustaining practices, Environmental Education, STEAM, Arts-Based Pedagogies, Project-Based Learning, Universal Design for Learning, Reggio Emilia, Montessori, Waldorf)

Area of expertise in an academic subject (e.g., Reading, Writing, Math, Science, Social Studies)

Bachelor's degree required. Teaching certification not required.

Job Type: Part-time

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
