At RBCS we value the vital role Early Childhood Educators play in creating a healthy, thriving, culturally rich society. We spend our days outside investigating all that Vermont’s beautiful land has to offer; flowering meadows, fruiting trees, thick gooey mud, rhythmic rain, deep snowy drifts, the subtle signs of deer and rabbits roaming the fields. This is the base through which we teach children to process and understand our world. RBCS strives to provide a safe and nurturing educational environment where children are free to take risks, to wonder and to form meaningful relationships with peers, educators and the natural environment. Our interactions with children are based on the belief that all young children are competent, intelligent and inquisitive beings. Through play and hands-on investigations, we guide each child’s social, emotional, physical and cognitive development.

The ideal candidates will have a love of nature, a growth mindset and some experience working with children 6 weeks to 5 years old. We are excited to support those who are new to the field in finding their place, expanding their own education and forming career goals.
