Franklin & Marshall College invites applications for adjunct positions in the Department of Biology to teach one or both of our team-taught introductory courses (BIO101: Evolution, Ecology, and Biodiversity and BIO102: Cell and Molecular Biology, each with ~ 24 students), and/or an upper-level elective in their area of expertise (~ 16 students) beginning January 14, 2025.

Summary

Applicants should possess or be close to completing a doctorate (or terminal degree). Teaching experience preferred. The rank will be Adjunct Assistant Professor or Adjunct Instructor, depending on qualifications.  The salary is $10,500 per course. Applicants may apply to teach a single course or up to two courses. All courses include lecture and laboratory components.  The course(s) will be taught in person beginning January 14, 2025; the employment period extends for two weeks following the completion of the spring semester. This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship.

Candidates must submit the following items electronically via Interfolio:  a cover letter; curriculum vitae; graduate transcript (or, if approved by the associate dean, other documentation of equivalent professional expertise). Applicants should arrange for two letters of recommendation to be submitted by the recommenders directly to Interfolio.
