We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Deputy Director & Head of Programs and Partnerships to join our team. This role is ideal for a young person who is passionate about environmental issues and eager to gain hands-on experience in program management and strategic partnerships! The Deputy Director will play a pivotal role in managing our philanthropy and charitable programs, overseeing award programs, and maintaining partnerships with external organizations and corporate entities.

Deputy Director & Head of Programs and Partnerships
Eligibility
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen who currently resides in one of the 50 U.S. States or Washington, D.C. (At this time, Folia Technologies does not provide sponsorship for visas such as H-1B.) 
  • Must be between the ages of 18 and 30 by September 1, 2024.
  • Current high school student OR current undergraduate/graduate student at an accredited 2 or 4-year institution. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in nonprofit management, public administration, business, or a related field OR have extensive experience in leadership and general management.
  • Previous experience in program management, project coordination, or leadership roles, preferably in a nonprofit or educational setting is desirable.
  • Previous involvement in community service, public service, or volunteer programs is highly desirable.
  • Passion for environmental advocacy and education, with a strong commitment to the organization’s mission and values.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders, including award recipients, staff members, volunteers, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Eco-Innovators in STEM Award and Young Researchers Mini-Grant Program.
  • Communicate with award recipients to provide guidance and support, and ensure compliance with program requirements.
  • Working closely with the Executive Director and internal staff members to ensure smooth operation of all charitable programs.
  • Co-Manage the President's Volunteer Service Award program, including coordinating award distribution and recognizing volunteer contributions.
  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships with external organizations and corporate entities.
  • Collaborate on initiatives such as the Green Futures Fellowship to secure sponsorships and collaborations that align with our mission.
  • Identify and pursue new partnership opportunities to expand the reach and impact of our programs.
  • Maintain accurate records of program activities, partnerships, and participant information.

Compensation Information

Location: Fully Remote

Start Date: September 1, 2024 

Time commitment: Selected applicant is expected to work remotely and mostly asynchronously from Monday to Friday, for approximately 10 hours each week. This position is great for youth who hope to maintain other commitments, such as being a full-time or part-time student.

Compensation: $20 per hour
