Summary
Members will serve in full-time positions (38 hour/week) from August 28, 2023 – July 26, 2024. These 1,700-hour AmeriCorps positions receive a living allowance ($1,066.68 biweekly / $26,667 full service term) and are eligible for health insurance coverage, childcare assistance, a $6,895 education award, federal loan forbearance, and other AmeriCorps benefits. The Youth Education Coordinator will work with teens, kids, and adults through events and outdoor programs that connect people to nature, farming and the land. Quick summary of responsibilities include: • data reports on program activities, complete 3 capacity building projects related to engaging the community in service site’s youth programs and services, collaborate with public schools to lead students on interpretive and inquiry-based field trips, collaborate with public schools and youth development groups, organize information for use in lesson plans and curricula., lead classroom and field-based teaching activities, and more.
