Summary

Stowe Land Trust conserves important land in the Stowe area for public access, working farms and forests, biodiversity, and more. As our Youth and Community Programs Coordinator, you’ll serve alongside our staff, board, volunteers, and partners to create and deliver programs that connect people to this special place. This position will play a key role in our emerging Learning Landscapes program – a partnership with local schools to develop outdoor classroom spaces within a 10-minute walk of school grounds, and facilitates educator trainings, mentorship, and more.

As part of our small team, you’ll be able to contribute your voice and passions to the development of our outreach projects and programs, and our efforts to build a welcoming and inclusive conservation community. In this role, you’ll gain experience in public engagement, land stewardship, volunteer coordination, and in the operation of conservation land trusts in general. With your help, we can make the benefits of conserved land more accessible to all members of our community.

Position begins September 11, 2023 and ends August 9, 2024 This position is Full Time: Requires 1,720 hours for an average of 40 hours per week for 47 weeks. Member will receive a living allowance of $26,000 (pre-tax), a monthly housing allowance of $300, and an education award of $6,895 (pre-tax) upon successful completion of service. Other benefits include health insurance, federal school loan forbearance, and various training and networking opportunities.
