The Wildlife Expeditions Program Assistant works with the Director and Program Coordinator to develop and run educational programs for adults, families, and custom groups. The Program Assistant manages systems that ensure high-quality educational programming and efficient customer service for these programs.

Summary

Qualifications:      

                  

Bachelor's Degree Preferred                        

Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and Google Apps                        

Organizational and prioritization skills                        

Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external constituents

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements: 

                      

Primarily based at Jackson Campus of Teton Science Schools with potential meetings/interactions/work on all campuses locations                        

Primarily indoors in an office setting: sitting and standing for long stretches while using a computer                        

Able to write / type / communicate                        

Able to drive 15 passenger vans for extended periods (up to 10 hours per day)                        

May be expected to work evenings, weekends or overtime to support special programs/events                        

Stretches of time outdoors in all weather, including extreme temperatures and arid conditions                        

Able to bend/stoop/reach and lift up to 50 pounds 

                       

Responsibilities:        

                

Program Support and Customer Service  

                      

    Process & organize participant forms and registration materials for program participants                    

    Prepare program materials such as schedules, information packets, and rooming lists                    

    Respond to phone & email inquiries regarding upcoming programs                    

    Proofread program materials for print and for website                    

    Manage shared resources with other departments at TSS                    

    Provide excellent customer service for participants before and during their program                    

    Help check in participants, outfit them with gear, orient them to campus, and operate gift shop                    

    Serve as a logistical point person for participants and guidesduring programs                    

    Problem solve & quickly amend any issues that arise throughout programs                    

    Assist Wildlife Director with Multiday program logistic, including but not limited to hotel, dining and activity reservations                     

    Assist with other Teton Science Schools programs as needed                    

    Create and edit Wildlife Expeditions program materials such as schedules, information packets, and rooming lists                                                                                 

    Gather specific dietary needs to communicate with kitchen staff and WE admin as appropriate                    

    Provide support to Operations with multiday program- Familiarized with all multiday specifics to be able to field calls and emails to support                     

      Operations. Problem solve & quickly amend any issues that arise throughout programs                   

 

One TSS Responsibilities  

                      

    Cross markets TSS programs when opportunities arise.                    

    Proactively and positively shares the TSS mission and program structure with external stakeholders.
