Woodland Park Zoo is seeking Camp Supervisors for the 2024 summer camp season. We offer day camps for ages 5-13 focused on conservation, building connections to nature, and exploring the animals of our world. Camp Supervisor 
This position supervises, coaches, and supports a team of camp instructors who present programs, experiences, and activities for the zoo’s camp programs for youth. This is a seasonal position and runs from late May 2024, through September 6, 2024. We are looking for Supervisors with management experience and dedication to conservation. They should have some experience with camps or environmental education and confidence in supporting hands-on, equitable programming. The ideal candidate will be an excellent multitasker, well organized, with excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for working with young people.
$25/hour


Camp Coordinator
This position is responsible for coordinating daily camp operations and logistics and improving customer experience. This position requires interaction with the public and employees throughout various stages of the program. Work includes various program support activities, including preparing program marketing and education materials, monitoring participation, maintaining records, preparing reports, and assisting with program operations and special events. There are two coordinator assignments, scheduling, and extended care. This is a seasonal position and runs from June 3, 2024, through September 6, 2024.
$23/ hour


Camp Inclusion Specialist 
Reporting to the Children’s Programs Manager, the Camp Inclusion Specialist will play an important role in the facilitation and leadership of Woodland Park Zoo’s summer camp, ensuring inclusion of all individuals that participate in camp programs. With the Manager, the Camp Inclusion Specialist will help train and support Camp Instructors on inclusion practices and resources and modify existing camp programs to ensure quality participation by all. This is a seasonal position and runs from June 3, 2024, through September 6, 2024.
$23/hour


Camp Instructor
This position is responsible for the presentation of programs, experiences, and activities for the zoo’s camp programs for youth. This is a seasonal position from June 14, 2024, to August 30, 2024. We are looking for Instructors who are dedicated to conservation and improving their teaching practice. They should have some experience with natural sciences and environmental education. The ideal candidate will be an excellent multitasker with a genuine passion for working with and empowering young people. Applicants should be patient, fun-loving and confident in their ability to motivate and assist campers in learning new skills and exploring a zoo environment.  
$20/hour 

 

 

Compensation Information
