Summary
UF/IFAS Florida 4-H Camp Cloverleaf is seeking an Assistant Director to join our state camping and environmental education team. We are at an exciting time at Camp Cloverleaf, as we are creating day and residential environmental education programs for schools and visitors and providing new summer camp opportunities. The Assistant Director is an integral part of these new environmental education programs, as they will be leading in the development, teaching, training, and implementation of them.
- Work in coordination with the FL 4-H State Camping Coordinator to help design and implement environmental education and summer camp programs. Work cooperatively with the Camp Resident Director and camp facility personnel in program development, budget planning, management, and program evaluation. Work as a member of the Statewide Camping Program Team on programs of state and/or regional importance. Provide leadership with curriculum development, interns, staff, volunteers, and faculty trainings. Communicate with State 4-H Headquarters to establish educational objectives and supportive educational activities as well as assignment of educational staff and scheduling of facilities.
- Provide leadership for the programmatic administrative operations of the camp. Assist with the promotion and public relations; actively market the facility and camp program throughout the year targeting 4-H, schools, youth, government agencies, businesses, and other units of the University of Florida. Assist the Camp Resident Director in the formulation of policies and procedures which have a significant impact on the overall camp program. Assist overseeing seasonal staff
- Work cooperatively with the Camp Resident Director in performing office duties, reports and paperwork as outlined by the State 4-H Camping Office, as needed for programming, financial and record keeping purposes.
- Conduct orientation meetings with user groups concerning camp procedures and camp operating guidelines. Coordinate support services to groups using the facility.
- Assist in coordinating 4-H Shooting Sports programs at Florida 4-H Camps and statewide. Help provide shooting sports opportunities at 4-H camps to outside user groups throughout the year.
- Other related duties as assigned by the Camp Resident Director and the State Camping Coordinator.

Compensation Information
$33,800 - $35,000 per year
Housing may be provided, as well as meals while a group is on-site
