The Kellogg PEAK Initiative is seeking full-time summer seasonal employees to join our Day Camp team in Milwaukee, WI and our Residential (overnight) Camp team in Boscobel, WI. From Counselors to Program Instructors to Leadership positions to Food Service Staff, we are looking for a diverse team to provide an incredible leadership development experience for our campers this summer. Regardless of career path, our summer staff gain leadership and professional skills that will serve them for the rest of their lives, such as communication, flexibility, creativity, problem solving, and relationship-building.

Open Positions:

Summer Seasonal Equestrian Instructor

Provide safe and engaging programming with horses to campers of all experience levels. The main objective of the equestrian program is to teach campers basic riding skills and horse care. Equestrian Instructors also provide daily care for horses.

Summer Seasonal Garden Culinary Instructor

This role will be responsible for guiding the culinary education and standards practiced during all Garden Program activities, including training and high school interns in the delivery of safe, educational cooking classes for all camp.

Summer Seasonal Archery Program Counselor

Provide safe, engaging programming at the archery range for campers of all skill levels. This role invites campers to challenge themselves, set meaningful goals, and build resilience as they learn the value of persistence—trying, failing, and trying again—through the sport of archery. 

Summer Seasonal Nature Program Counselor

Provide experiences for campers to develop a relationship with nature by leading educational activities that increase knowledge of the natural world around them. 

Summer Seasonal Outdoor Living Skills Program Counselor

The main objective of the Outdoor Living Skills program is to teach campers how to meet fundamental needs and to teach wilderness survival techniques and problem solving in the outdoors. The aim of the Outdoor Living Skills Program Counselor is to help campers feel more comfortable pursuing outdoor adventures in their personal lives.

Summer Seasonal Teambuilding Program Counselor

The main objective of the team building program is to help campers build trust, deepen relationships, and learn collaboration and conflict resolution skills through group challenges. The Teambuilding Program Counselor is responsible for overseeing all activities and operations at the Challenge Course, as well providing relationship and team building activities for cabins during scheduled activity times. 

Summer Seasonal Aquatics Program Counselor

Certified lifeguards are key to offering extraordinary aquatic experiences to PEAK participants. In addition to being cabin counselors, Aquatics Program Counselors work shifts at the pool and the waterfront, providing safe and enjoyable experiences to campers and staff. 

Summer Seasonal Expeditions Coordinator

The main objective of expedition programming is to push perceived limits through exploration of places that are not readily accessible. This role supports campers, staff, and the Expeditions Instructors with logistical support for campouts from pack out, to trip, to pack in. 

Summer Seasonal Expeditions Instructor

Lead campers through all parts of their expedition experience, from pack out, to trip, to pack in. The main objective of expedition programming is to push perceived limits through exploration of places that are not readily accessible.

Summer Seasonal Equestrian Program Consultant

Ensure a safe learning environment for horses and riders, helping care for the horses and providing guidance to instructors on programming. The Consultant will also be on call to address urgent and emergency situations with the horses as needed.

Compensation Information

Starting at $600/week for counselors at Lake Valley Camp (housing and meals are included).
Starting at $650/week for counselors in Milwaukee.
Increased rate of pay for positions with increased responsibilities at both sites.
