Summary
Title: Summer Camp Health Care Worker
Reports to: Camp Manager
Location: Jamestown, CO with some training hours spent in Brighton, CO
Salary: $2,000 Stipend with lodging and meals provided during camp sessions
Duration: June 19-June 27, 2025 and July 6-July 11, 2025, with additional training for 1 day in the final week of May.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Attend to the illnesses and injuries of both program participants and staff
- Supervise and maintain high standards of health and safety, follow risk management policies in all activities, and adhere to the policies and procedures outlined in the BCR Staff Handbook
- Administer over-the-counter and prescription medications to program participants and staff per written protocol at designated times
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of medication administration and illness/injury care delivered to campers and staff per written protocol
- Report illness, injury, and abuse to proper authorities when necessary per written protocol
- Manage all documentation and protocol in relation to Colorado State Child Care Licensure
- Work directly with the Camp Manager, EMS, fire department, and hospital, either by phone or in-person, when needed to attend to the illness/injury of a participant or staff
- Work directly with the Assistant Education Director/Camp Manager to communicate with families regarding camper health and wellness
- Live on site in close proximity to participants and staff during overnight camp
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Required:
- Physician, Physician's Assistant, Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, or Certified Nursing Assistant.
- Prior experience in day and/or overnight camp or school settings
- Able to clear state and federal background checks and drug screens
