North Branch Nature Center in Montpelier, Vermont is seeking a qualified individual to teach and lead campers ages 4 to 14 during our 2022 summer camp season. Our programs are nature based aimed at Connecting People With the Natural World.
Summary
North Branch Nature Center is seeking qualified individuals to teach and lead campers ages 4 to 14 during our 2022 summer camp season.Our programs are based on nature immersion principles and work to Connect People with the Natural World. Share your love for nature and the outdoors with children! Responsibilities include
- Leading group games, arts and crafts, sensory awareness activities, storytelling, and singing;
- Teaching lessons in natural history and field studies;
- Working as a team member to promote a nature and place-based approach to learning;
- Adhering to NBNC’s safety protocols and managing risk in an outdoor setting;
- Upholding NBNC’s commitment to promote justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (JEDI).
Qualifications include:
- Patient, energetic, fun-loving, hardworking, and possessing a sense of humor;
- Life experience teaching in an outdoor environment and/or relevant undergraduate coursework, and/or a BS or BA degree
