Summary

Major Functions:
The Summer Communications Associate will primarily support NAAEE’s communications and technology efforts, including:
- Moderating, editing, and posting content on eePRO and other NAAEE websites;
- Writing and drafting graphics for use on social media, in newsletters, and on websites;
- Performing outreach and communications tasks for NAAEE programs, including ee360+, NAAEE Conference, CEE-Change Fellowship, GEEP, and more.
Minimum Skills and Experience Required:
- Currently enrolled in or completed bachelor’s degree in communications, environmental studies, or other relevant field
- 1–3 years of communications experience and/or web experience and/or experience in the environmental education field (Experience with Drupal a plus!)
- Great writing, editing, and communication skills, including social media experience, as well as writing for the web
- Familiarity with basic graphic design principles and Canva
- Ability to work efficiently, with flexibility, creativity, initiative, positive energy, and good humor
- Ability to work independently as required but also to work effectively as a team member
- Ability to work remotely
- Cultural competence and the ability to work with individuals representing a diversity of backgrounds and perspectives
- A team-player who enthusiastically represents NAAEE to external partners, members, funders, and other stakeholders
Additional Information:
This position pays $22 an hour. The associate is expected to work 20–25 hours a week over the summer and early fall. Flexible schedules or fewer hours will be considered for students returning to college for Fall semester. NAAEE is looking for a commitment through September 30, 2026, with the possibility to extend.

Compensation Information
This position pays $22 an hour.
