Summer Camp Coordinator

New Castle County Department of Community Services has openings for seasonal full time summer positions assisting with summer recreation camps in New Castle County, Delaware. Applicants must be available during the summer months. Positions work 40 hours per week starting June 1, 2022 through August 31, 2022. 

• Applicants must have completed two years of college and have at least three years of experience leading groups of children. Current and former teachers are encouraged to apply.  
• Oversees several summer camp locations including supervision of subordinate staff.
• Responsible for ensuring the safety and security of youth participants and promoting positive behavior.
• Responsible for implementation of NCC rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and programming.
• Serves as primary liaison between programs and Program Manager.
• Works independently and make appropriate decisions.
• Helps to investigate and resolve complaints and inquiries.
• Maintains camp records and submits reports.
