Four work locations with different schedules (apply separately for area of interest):

  • Seasonal Park Worker - Blue Lake Park
  • Seasonal Park Worker - Historic Cemeteries and Natural Areas (Blue Lake Park)
  • Seasonal Park Worker - Historic Cemeteries and Natural Areas (Borland Field Office)
  • Seasonal Park Worker - Oxbow Regional Park (AM/PM Shifts)
  • Seasonal Park Worker - Oxbow Regional Park (Overnight Shift)

These positions perform a wide variety of tasks essential to park operations and the Metro system of nature parks, cemeteries, and natural areas. The primary role of this position will be to serve as a Seasonal Park Worker assisting guests, cleaning restroom and shower facilities, constructing and maintaining developed infrastructure, grounds maintenance, cash handling and booth operations, and ensuring guests are aware of park rules and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications/Transferable Skills:

  • High school diploma or GED certificate or sufficient education to demonstrate the ability to read instructions and perform routine math with accuracy OR
  • Any combination of education and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the classification duties and responsibilities
  • Customer service experience in a public setting 

Special Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license
  • First Aid/CPR certification (within two months of hire – we train internally) 

Driving Record Check: The candidate selected for the position will need to pass a Driving Record check prior to being hired. Speeding tickets do not necessarily preclude employment and will be evaluated on a case by case basis

However, keep in mind we may consider some or all of the following when identifying the most qualified candidates.
