Summary
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF SCHOOL & YOUTH PROGRAM ASSISTANT MANAGER AT JBZ
This position will focus on training, evaluating, and mentoring education team members including zoo educators, seasonal educators and aides to develop their talents and skills. Will include the development, design, and direction of conservation educational efforts of the Zoo, including educational experiences and programs for schools at the Zoo, on school grounds, in the community, as well as youth programs, including but not limited to Zoo Camp.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR SCHOOL & YOUTH PROGRAM ASSISTANT MANAGER AT JBZ
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Education, Conservation, Zoology, or closely related field. A teaching certificate is preferred but not required, and at least one year’s experience working with youth 3-15 years of age. Also preferred experience and knowledge of safe animal handling and exhibit techniques. This position will require working some evenings, weekends and or holidays.

$48,000 - $56,500 per year
