Residential Camp Director

Phoebe Needles Center has been serving communities in Southwest Virginia for over 125 years! Our beloved summer camp programs have been going strong for over 40 years. We are looking for a Residential Camp Director to work with us for 8-10 weeks this summer with opportunities for starting work sooner.

Our Residential Camp Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our residential summer camp programs, including overseeing the residential camp counselors, ensuring camper safety, developing fun and engaging activities on site and off site for 5th-12th graders. Work with camp staff from around the world to create lifelong memories of amazing camp experiences in the great outdoors! 

Imagine nature hikes to waterfalls in wonderful natural areas, zip lining and rock wall climbing, swimming and archery, team building and games. This is just a taste of what our Camp Director will get to experience this summer!

Experience making an impact in the lives of underserved youth growing up in rural Appalachia.

This is a stipend position which includes room and board and access to work vehicles during time off on the weekends. 
Pay will be based on total weeks of work, experience, and level of education.
