Registered Camp Nurse

The San Diego County Office of Education is seeking a highly motivated, caring, professional, registered nurse to join our health center team at the original 6th Grade Camp, Cuyamaca Outdoor School. The residential outdoor education program, in operation since 1946, is located an hour east of San Diego in the 25,000-acre Cuyamaca Rancho State Park, elevation 4,000 feet. We connect children to science through nature in a weeklong, hands-on, outdoor education experience. Our heath center team is outgoing, hard-working, energetic, and has a genuine desire to make a positive difference in children’s lives.

Qualifications:

• A combination of training and experience providing direct health care services or emergency medical assistance
• Demonstrates a positive attitude, adaptable personality, and strong work ethic
• Strong organization and communication skills, both oral and written

Certificate/License Requirements:

• A current California Registered Nurse license and a copy must be attached to online application. An original Registered Nurse license must be presented prior to appointment. RN’s are required to maintain their license.
• A current American Red Cross or American Heart Association First Aid Certifcate and CPR Certification with AED Certfication

Registered Nurse Position Details

$29.71- $37.92 hourly rate. Full benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, sick leave, paid holidays, pension, and more; 180 day, 10-month work calendar; meals provided during program; on-site housing available.

Located in Cuyamaca Rancho State Park, one hour east of San Diego.
