Summary

Works with refuge staff to gain experience in habitat restoration, biological surveys and visitor services/facilities. This position is stationed in Bandon, Oregon

April 1 - Sept 30

-Identify, monitor, map and remove invasive plants to improve habitat conditions
-Participate in the restoration project at Crook Point (requires camping at a remote field site with no running water or electricity, ~1-2 nights/week)
-Conduct weekly nest monitoring of black oystercatchers and other on-going seabird research projects

-Assist with bi-monthly mosquito monitoring activities

-Assist with native pollinator garden activities

-$1,600 monthly living stipend
