Become a Rangeland Technician and work with the Bureau of Land Management in collaboration with the Utah Conservation Corps. Survey and monitor rangelands across the Vernal Field Office in accordance with the VFO protocol.

Training/Professional Development you will receive:
• Data collecting techniques and reporting trainings.
• Training in conducting surveys and throughout the Vernal Field Office.
• Vegetation data collection and plant identification.
• Rangeland improvement planning and building.

Summary

Survey and monitor rangelands across the Vernal Field Office in accordance with the VFO protocol. These protocols will provide information to assess changes in rangeland health and management decisions. Additionally, this position will assess rangeland improvement projects within the VFO for compliance and quality checks. Other duties may consist of mapping invasive weeds. The technician will also assist with preparing, evaluating, and conducting biological analyses of public rangeland projects; independently develops conservation plans, assists in designing technical surveys, and performs work on rangeland construction projects.
