All programs focus on environmental education, and providing opportunities to learn about nature to children in and around Lincoln.

Summary

The Programming Coordinator will assist in planning, coordination, and delivery of Big Gumdrop Outdoors’ educational programs while also playing an active, hands-on role in leading programming. This position helps ensure programs are well-staffed, well-prepared, and engaging for youth, while providing direct support to staff and volunteers in the field. They will regularly lead and support after school clubs, field trips, and summer programs, stepping in as needed to ensure a positive experience for participants. This role works closely with the Operations Director and Volunteer Coordinator to coordinate staffing, prepare materials, support curriculum delivery, and build strong relationships with youth, parents, and site partners.

Compensation Information

This is an hourly wage paying job, the range for pay is $15-18 an hour.

This position can include 10-15 hours per week during the typical school year (August-May) with up to 20 hours in the Summer. This can be flexible!
