Sunshine Community Compost is seeking a program manager to assist the Executive Director in all operational aspects of our current community composting programs as well as help develop and deliver a strategic, consistent and efficient volunteer program and outreach and education program.

Summary

Position Overview

The Program Manager will assist the Executive Director in all operational aspects of our current community composting programs as well as help develop and deliver a strategic, consistent and efficient volunteer program and outreach and education program. Range of tasks include:

Composting fieldwork (40%) - residential and commercial composting program management, servicing and maintaining existing food scrap drop-off sites in city parks, apartments, businesses, etc. and processing small batches of compost at designated sites or transferring excess to designated partner locations

Outreach and volunteer programs development and delivery (40%)

Administrative tasks (20%) to include but not limited to program and systems development, data tracking, fundraising support, social media, marketing material development and website support or content development

Compensation Information

Terms, Salary & Benefits: 

This is a 2-year, grant funded position with an initial 3-month probationary period. Compensation $45k-$50k/ yr. based on experience. Includes healthcare benefits stipend, 40 hrs. PTO accruable after probationary period & $500/yr in professional development.

Program Manager will drive the company vehicle exclusively for the transport of compost materials and any resulting operational or program needs. As a result, the successful candidate will need to provide evidence of their own automobile insurance. Candidate will also be subject to a background check. This is a drug free workplace.
