Summary

Who We Are:

Two Coyotes Wilderness School is a nonprofit mentoring organization that connects people to nature, community, and self. Through our programs, we seek to raise future ancestors who are interconnected with nature, embody caring community, and are whole, healthy beings.

We offer mentorship to more than 1000 people annually through school day, family, rites of passage, summer camp, mentor-in-training, and partnership programs. While our programs are successful and well-established, Two Coyotes is currently undergoing a transformative process in partnership with CEIO to become a liberated organization inside and out. The Program Director plays a crucial role in this process, connecting our collective long-term vision to the daily experience within our organization for staff, youth, and families. This position is an exciting opportunity for a nature-based leader to help shape our program vision while developing and supporting our staff as we evolve and grow.

Who You Are:

You bring a passion for and a deep connection to nature, as well as a range of experience in our key skill areas: earth living, mentoring, culture & community-building, and liberatory practices.

You have leadership and supervisory experience, including managing a team with direct reports.

You are equally happy when your office is in a forest or at a desk.

You are energized by working in an organizational culture that is currently embracing transformative change on individual and systemic levels.

You are practiced in noticing and naming inequity and in holding the right use of power.

You are organized and effective at time and project management. You also excel at leading groups of adults, including facilitating meetings, guiding collaborative decision-making, and keeping the team on task and on time when working towards a finite goal.

You are warm, welcoming, and grounded in gratitude; you are skilled at appreciating others' gifts and keeping spirits high and inspired.

You are an effective communicator who can use reparative models and deep listening to build relationships with staff and families.

You are able to be with and navigate through discomfort, failure and conflict.

You bring a growth mindset approach to identifying your own areas of strength and learning edges, and to actively pursuing opportunities to develop your skills and competencies.

You bring 5+ years of experience working in collaborative work environments in an office setting.
